hank you for your donation of £1,000 which enabled us to hold a Christmas Lunch at Totteridge Cricket Club for 54 elderly guests in December. The attendees were made up of those ‘Guests’ known to both THE PUDDENECKS to Barnet Good Neighbours. The event was very well received with those attending complimenting the lunch, music and gift that they left with. This was the second year of our partnership and indeed it seemed as if it was an improvement on our first. Richard Mason excelled in organising the music and together with some other guest singers the afternoon went off with a musical ’bang.’ I should also like to thank Byron Davies who is also part of your charity golf day organisation who magnificently raised a considerable amount of money which we received and are much appreciated.
Any excess monies from the event held will go into our pool of monies to ensure that we can continue with the Club’s aim of looking after the needy and elderly of Barnet. This work ranges from running Bingo and Fish & Chip evenings, organising day outings, supporting the High Barnet Good Neighbours scheme, running a Music to Movement Group to just replacing cash stolen from an elderly person as she used a cash machine outside a bank. Our work is very varied and we try to help those who are in need, be it financial, loneliness or illness.
It is only through your generous donations that we can offer such a wide service and we do appreciate your generousity
Many thanks again
