Large Single-Storey Bungalow on a Beautiful Site in Stanmore
One of the most prestigious projects the company has worked on, Aylmer Drive consists of a sizeable single-storey bungalow on a beautiful site in the depths of Stanmore, Hertfordshire. The existing house surrounds a large redwood pine tree, which serves as the site’s focal point and design inspiration. The developer aims to design a large house of about 6,000 square feet. Next door is a listed, flat-roof house constructed from railway sleepers. In response to this unique design, the proposal also incorporates a flat roof to complement the contemporary theme of the area.
Due to the number of trees on the site, the new plan had to adopt the same footprint as the existing house. Inspired by the site’s natural features, the design evolved from horizontal and vertical planes. Incorporating water and natural materials aims to create a serene environment that complements the site. The proposal is currently under development.
