The Hidden House
The clients were delighted with the outcome.
Cox Architects was commissioned to apply for planning permission for a three-bedroom house at the rear of a property in Whetstone. The scheme presented several challenges due to the problematic planning constraints of the site. With considerable knowledge of Barnet and London’s planning policies, we could follow a procedure that resulted in full planning permission being granted.
The house is hidden behind what appears to be a boundary fence and replicates the neighbouring garage block in a modern fashion. The result is an attractive, usable three-bedroom dwelling within a five-minute walk of Totteridge and Whetstone tube station. The clients were delighted with the outcome.
